To give a little background information on myself, I am a senior at Emmanuel College in Franklin Springs, Georgia. I am majoring in the School of Christian Ministry and I  have a heart for the youth of this nation. My calling in life is to help young people better know who they are through a knowledge of Jesus Christ. I find that through this process, people who know who they are and have a good self image are more confident, well rounded people and have a better chance at fulfilling the destiny and purpose God has on their life. If we look at the Gospels, Peter had a better understanding of himself only when he had a better understanding of who Jesus was in his life. As the story goes, Jesus asks the disciples who do people say he was and Peter responds you are the Christ, the Son of God. It was in that moment that Jesus revealed to Peter that he would be the rock that He would build his church on. God gave revelation of who Peter when Peter gained revelation of who Jesus to him personally.  

 

I am originally from St. Augustine, Florida and have lived there all my life up until going to college. I have grown up in the church all my life and have a fairly good knowledge of church doctrine. I am open to all forms of Christian worship; form contemporary to traditional styles of worship and ministering God's truth. I find that God doesnt just work through one style for all his people. He works through all forms of worship, so that His glory may be revealed to all people in every nation. 

 

  I am very excited for the opportunity to serve and grow under the tutelage of Pastor Brett and his ministry. Over the year I have met countless men and women of God who give all the credit for their amazing spiritual maturity and leadership abilities to the teaching and mentoring of Pastor Brett and his wife Mrs. Debbie. I have a great expectation for what God has Planned for me over these next 13 weeks. The only tool I bring to the table are a teachable spirit and a willingness to serve. I have placed all my trust in God and the process that he has for me as I look to the horizon for the transformation God has awaiting me on the other side of this great journey.
